The project is expected to result in a product that is part of the global trend of supply chain digitalization, using predictive and prescriptive models in the decision-making process. It is expected to allow companies operating in the recipient-supplier link of the supply chain to improve the accuracy of forecasts and optimize inventory, thereby reducing logistics costs, increasing the availability of goods to customers, freeing up capital frozen in excess inventory, increasing supply chain flexibility, improving profitability, and reducing energy consumption and CO2 emissions. The R&D-derived product is expected to allow data collection and standardization, and then use it in simulation and optimization models using cloud-based artificial intelligence and machine learning. Fuzzy, deep neural networks will be used to generate business decisions allowing for significant improvements in both decision-making time and accuracy with respect to the adopted goal functions by both supply chain partners and each of them individually.

The project is co-financed by the European Union in the framework of the “Fast Track” competition for micro, small and medium entrepreneurs - a competition for projects from less developed regions.
