Artificial intelligence (AI) is the ability of machines to exhibit human skills such as learning, inference and recommending solutions. Artificial intelligence enables associations to be made and solutions to problems to be sought, in terms of the goal set.
Artificial intelligence can be divided into three main types depending on its capabilities and objectives:
– An Artificial Narrow Intelligence (ANI) is one that has a narrow range of skills and is programmed to perform specific tasks within a limited range. Examples of ANI include virtual assistants, image analysis software, web search engines, speech and facial recognition systems, etc.
– Artificial general intelligence (AGI) is one that is on par with human capabilities and can perform any task that a human can do. This is a hypothetical type of artificial intelligence that has not yet been achieved. Examples of AGI could be humanoid robots, computer simulations of the human mind or systems capable of creating their own goals and values.
– An artificial superintelligence (ASI) is one that is more capable than humans in all aspects and can transcend human limitations. It is a speculative type of artificial intelligence that could have a huge impact on the fate of humanity. Examples of ASI could be systems capable of self-improvement, controlling other machines or influencing human behaviour and decisions.
Artificial intelligence uses various methods and techniques, such as machine learning, deep learning, natural language processing, computer vision, speech recognition and others.
Artificial intelligence has many applications in different areas of life and business. It can help with data analysis, process optimisation, task automation, service personalisation, security improvement, decision support and innovation.
The Dature app uses artificial intelligence to generate more accurate decisions in the supply chain. The application can be used for inventory and stocking management, demand forecasting and optimisation of stocking recommendations, risk analysis and much more.
The Dature application is cloud-based, and works well for companies in retail, distribution, e-commerce, manufacturing
